SITE UPDATE (2003.11.30)

I have updated the Photo Gallery and made some minor technical changes. To simplyfy navigation I have put all photos in full size on one page for each dog. In stead of clicking and go to a new page to go from one photo to the next one I have decided to not use low resolution thumbnails. You just place the cursor over the photo to enlarge. However, this is at the cost of speed as too loading time. As most people today probably have fast cable connection I believe that this way of showing the photos is faster and more convenient. I would be grateful for your comments.

SHOWS 2002

2002 has started very successfully. On February 16 the first Danish show was held in Fredericia. Once again Ariyantas Yo-Ga won her class and her sire Free Spirit's Christmas Comet won CAC from open class and ended BD4.

Two weeks later Comet again appeared i the show ring. In Dutch Zuidlaren he won BOB and received his first CACIB and Dutch CAC.

But just two weeks after that, on March 16, the success of Comet and his wonderful children continued. This time in Malmö, Sweden, where Ariyantas Yo-Hana, litter sister of Yo-Ga, had her international debut. In her second show ever she won Best Bitch from Junior Class. In the final competition she beat Best Dog and ended BOB. An unusual achievement for a just 13 months old bitch!

SHOW ACTIVITIES

Ariyantas Yo-Ga had her first appearance in the show ring at the Copenhagen International 2001 on September 16, 2001. This was a great success for the bitch puppy from my MULTICH bitch Ariyantas Yo-Jana sired by Free Spirit's Christmas Comet. She won best puppy in the breed and was BIS-3-Puppy in the final competitions.

Five weeks later she again appeared in the show ring. In a show arranged by the Danish Lhasa Apso Club on October 20, 2001, Ariyantas Yo-Ga again was best puppy and won BIS-4-Puppy.

Also USACH Anbara Alasara Smart Stuff had great success in Copenhagen. He was Best Open Dog and won BD3. This gave him his first CAC since his arrival with us. Two months later he repeated this with his second CAC and BD4 at the LAK Birthday Show 2001 (for details see Show Results).

Photos from the above shows can be found from under each dog in the Photo Gallery.

US IMPORTS 2000

In April 2000 I imported a most impressive young dog from my good Lhasa friends Debi and Cheryl at Free Spirits in Colorado, USA: Free Spirit's Christmas Comet. We collected him at the airport in Copenhagen where he arrived after a 9½ hour non-stop flight from Seattle. Comet had been on a one week vacation at San Jo Kennels in Bellevue with Marianne Nixon who generously offered her assistance in order to ease Comet's transatlantic flight.

Comet is a brilliant dog with marvellous teeth and extremely correct in almost every detail. His movements are very similar to those of his double great-grandsire MULTICH San Jo All Gussied Up ROM who was 13 years in August 2001.

In September 2000 we once again went to Copenhagen Airport to collect a new member of our Danish-American family. Our dear friend Barbara Wood had been persuaded to send one of her two new show stars - Smart Aleck og Smart Stuff. Both have recently won their American CH title and shortly after winning his final points Stuffy also made a Transatlantic flight.

Stuffy is a wonderful golden dog with an adorable temperament. Just like Comet he has USACH San Jo Dressed To The Nines as his grandsire. This means that he too is a great-grandson of old Gus. Both in colour and in his impressive movements he very much looks like his famous ancestor(s) and we have great expectations to both his show carreer and his carreer as a stud dog.

(It doesn't seem necessary to clone dogs - Nature can do it all by itself!)

You can see more photos of these lovely dogs choosing from the "Photo Gallery" menu.

You will also find the very interesting pedigrees by choosing from the "Pedigrees" menu.
